spam protectDetails of the MilNetUK Internet Service Provider (ISP)
- The telephone number for connecting to the Internet via MilNetUK is 0845-638 9845. This number terminates on a large bank of modems in Telehouse, London. All known modems standards are supported, including ISDN (64k) and ISDN bonding (128k) on this same number. We have been using this system for over 9 years, and it has proved extremely reliable
- When setting up your connection, you should use a username of 'guest' and a password of 'guest' (both without the quotes). You can use our connection wizard to do this easily and simply for you, see this page. Or send for our free CD
- There is no need to register with MilNetUK, but if you wish to establish an e-mail box, you must register on line. You can do this on our E-Mail pages, here. You can use MilNet as your ISP and still keep any existing email address.
- When configuring your E-Mail software for use with your MilNet email mailbox, you should use the address of tmail.milnet.uk.net as your POP3 server, and you should use tmail.milnet.uk.net as your out going (SMTP) mail server. (Unless you are using an ISP other than MilNet). Please note that you need to set up your email software to use authentication for outgoing mail.
