milnetuk.exe

From this page you can download a small program to run on your Window 95/98 computer to enable to to connect to the Internet very easily via MilNetUK.

Press Here to start the download.

Here's what to do:

  • Download the file to a temporary directory (eg C:/temp)
  • Disconnect from the Internet, close down all programs running on you computer
  • Extract the file milnetuk.exe from the downloaded ZIP file
  • Press the 'START' button, press 'RUN', in the window type 'C:/temp/milnetuk.exe'
  • Follow the instructions on the screen.

The program puts an Icon on your desk top, and you can click on this to connect via your modem to MilNetUK.

The program does not install or reconfigure Internet Explorer in any way, nor does it alter any existing connections you may have already installed on your computer. It uses standard Microsoft Connection software, and is totally compatible with Windows 95, 98, NT, Win2000, and XP.

When you start the connection for the first time, you must type in the password to connect to the Internet via MilNetUK. This password is 'guest' (It is the same for all MilNet UK users).

Once you have your connection up and running OK, return to the MilNetUK web site to signup for your e-mail account(s) (choose your own user names and passwords).

To download the file, called milnetuk.exe, press here, and choose 'save this file to disk'
